One of the activities of CAVIWO is serving the elderly mothers in our community; especially the widows. From time to time, we will gather them to tap from their wisdom and to spread the love the of God through service and nourishing them.
Most of the time they stay at home to assist with our kids and that can be hard for them as they’re way past retirement ages in Canada. They usually feel lonely and isolated compared to where they come from and so bringing them together like the picture above adds smiles to their faces and gives them a taste of their cultural values of community life. This event took place on December 29th 2018 and we hope to keep bring these mothers together as often as we can.
